STEREO SYSTEM (It's not just a Stereo, it's a SYSTEM!)
This page will document the complete invent of a custom stereo system for the Quad Cab. The factory stereo is comprised of a factory AM/FM Cassette player with four 6 3/4" speakers (1 in each door). The sound quality is fair at best and doesn't really reproduce a dynamic range of sound or harmony. My goal will be to build a kicka$$ stereo that can win or steal a show on its own.

Here's the first setup. It includes a custom built sealed enclosure along with a Lightning Audio 1200 Watt amp with cooling fan and 1/2 Farad Capacitor. The speakers are two Alpine Type S dual voice coil Subwoofers. We're running alot of wattage so we want to increase the cap and use two amps instead of one to run the subs and components.
The second setup includes the same box and subs, but we now use two Rockford Fosgate 400.4 amps rated at 732 Watts and along with a Lightning Audio 1 Farad capacitor. The amp shown in the above pic runs the subs, while the second is hidden and runs the Fanatic Q components up front..

Here's the 5.4" TV custom mounted in the overhead console. It will serve as a monitor for the DVD player, MP3 player, Playstation and Navigation system.

This is the current speaker enclosure that QUAD2NV is running. It's installed where the 60 of the 60/40 rear bench seat use to reside. It consists of the same 2 10" Alpine Type S subs and a dual ported design to maximize bass efficiency.
My deck is a Pioneer DEH-P9200. It has the Organic display along with the auxilary output to run the DVD player. (Pics Coming Soon!)
