PAINT TRICKS AND CUSTOM TOUCHES
This page will give you tips and tricks to help make your truck a show winner. After all, your paint job is what seperates one custom truck from the other, and can give you a winning edge with the judges. I'll also explore different treatments for areas like your rear axle, hoses, frame, interior trim pieces, engine chrome, body mouldings  and more.
This picture shows the rear of my Ram. I had the axle powdercoated in flat BLACK along with the rear differential cover in RED. All visible hoses are wire loomed in a matching RED for contrast with the BLACK. By simply using RED shock boots, you can turn a simple detail into a coordinated display. It all comes down to showing that extra ounce of detail. You wouldn't believe how many great looking trucks I've seen that have had mud encased axles and frayed looking undercarriage hoses. When you're at a show or in a magazine, you want to look as "clean" as possible.
The next section will be dedicated to giving the Quad Cab the same turn in detail. I've made the contrasting color yellow, so everything within reason will get a treatment in the bright hue.
