The area in South America known today as Peru was once part of the great Inca Empire as were parts of Equidor, Bolivia, Chili and Argentia.

The food of the Inca's was based on very simple fare indeed. Maize (corn) and potaoes were then as now the staple food. Peru restaurant As a matter of historical fact; it was the Incas who invented the freeze dried potato right there in the heights of the Andes where the combination of extreme cold bright unobstructed sunlight and rair air makes the process possible.
History lesson aside; Peru now has one of the most varied native cuisine in South America.

Peru restaurant:An enormous variety of flavors and textures are the bases of Thai cuisine. One may, at the same table, experience at one end of the spectrum a blend of cool mild flavors and at the other a pungent explosion of fire and spice, all brought together in delicious melange absolutely unique to Thai dining.

You might in one dish enjoy crispy tender bamboo shoot slices, plump pink shrimp and succulent white chicken breast meat simmered in rich chicken stock made opaque with coconut milk combined with the unique citrus flavored lemon grass.peru restaurant

Another dish might boast a freshly caught fish delicately flavored with lime laced with the likes of ginger and coriander (cilantro) other dishes use cumin, other dishes use cumin, nutmeg, curry, basil, mint, cloves or bay leaves. All of these flavors will emerge from our kitchen at one time or another and we regard the proper combination of these ingredients to be the highest of the culinary arts.peru restaurant
