FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS When was the Thesis Submitted? The Final Draft of the Master's Thesis was finally submitted in January of 2002. Work began on this thesis during the Spring 2001 Semester. Betweeen working full time, taking care of my family and going to school, I am currently spending more time on completing the thesis than on the web site. Now that the Thesis is completed, I will spend more time in updating the TheDigitalAuthor web site. That is, if work, family and other responsibilities allow me. Why is this thesis Online? I have decided to place this thesis Online to help educate the publishing community. With the power of the Internet, I have expanded this dissertation to include links which should further help the reader by taking them to either the source of the information, or to web sites where they might find additional information on that particular subject. What Master's program has this been written for? This thesis is to help fullfil the requirements of the Master's of Publishing Science program at Pace University (New York City). The Author of this paper and Webmaster of this web site is Lon E. Dobbs, Esq. Mr. Dobbs recieved his BS degree in Business, Management & Finance in 1990. He recieved his J.D. in 1995 and was awared the Distinguished Student Award upon graduation. Although he is not currently practicing, he has been admited to the practice of law by the Bar Associations in Florida (1996), New York (1997) and Connecticut (1998). From 1996 through 2001, he worked as a Legal Editor/Practice Area Editor at a large legal publishing company. In July of 2001, he became the editorial trainer for the company as well as project manager for various initiatives throughout the organization. How "legal" is this thesis? Although the author is an attorney, he does not currently practice law. All of the information have come from various sources such as books, magazines, journals, interviews and the Internet.
