Along the path some of us were stopped to ponder what it's all about. |
|
|
Some of us read the Bible daily. Or at least try to. |

We try to remember to say grace when we eat. For some of us it's important. A jewish friend e-mailed the blessing to the right. |
The Hebrew (phoneticized) and English version of the blessing over the bread:
Ba-rukh attah adonai elohaynu melekh ha-olam ha-motzee lechem min ha-aretz Blessed art thou, Oh Lord our God, King of the Universe, who causes the earth to yield food. |

As John put it: "But to all who received Christ he gave power to become children of God" Some of us found it to be true. | "Of God and men" by A.W.Tozer / Christian Publications Inc seems a pretty good book |

For a morning prayer "Our Father who art in heaven, - - - ", Matthew 6:10 -13. One part of it every few strokes. Maybe it is called meditation. By any name - makes the heart sing |

Which position? "The word of God discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart" Some of us read this as a choice: Either the Bible is the judges of our opinions and positions or else it's OK for us to judge what in the Bible applies today. |
Some of us see a contract: "Go therefore an make disciples - - -; an lo, I am with you always, to the close of age" Jesus guarantees the the reliability of the Bible. Our task is to go out and tell. Jesus has kept his part of the contract better. By far. Extremely far. | |
