I was born in 1937 to Ernest Henry Hickson and Jane [Jean] nee Thomas. I had one older adopted brother Geoffrey Wallace Hickson, who was 18 years old. I was Christened in St Thomas' Church at Petersham. My Godparents were Thomas Patrick Quinn and his wife Aimee Quinn.

Growing up I lived in Petersham, a suburb of Sydney, NSW.
I attended the Sisters of Charity Primary School at Lewisham when I was 6 years old, from Kindergarten to Grade Three. I then attended St Thomas' Christian Brother's primary school for Grades 4 to 6. |

I was confirmed at St Thomas' Lewisham in 1944
I attended High School at St Patrick's Christian Brothers at Lewisham.
I left school at the end of 4th year & commenced work at Gollin & Co. Ltd in Clarence St Sydney. See "MY CAREER" |
