Jesus was his name. Christ was his title. He is best known by the Bible verse:
John 3:16 NKJV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Jesus healed many and taught them forgiven many. He fed 5,000 with five loaves of bread and two fish. He fed four thousand with seven loaves of bread. There were also leftovers. He healed the blind and He healed the deaf. He raised people from the dead. He walked on water. He calmed the storms. He taught about the mysteries of kingdom of heaven in parables so that 'though seeing, they do not see. though hearing, they do not hear. and 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever hearing, but never perceiving.' He was baptized by John, the Baptizer. John was reluctant to baptize Him, because he knew that Jesus was over him, but Jesus insisted because Jesus' baptism was needed to fulfill all righteousness. Jesus also taught us that the whole idea of the Law and the Prophets was to love. He was tempted by the devil after a 40 day fast. Jesus won that battle. He taught us the basics of love. He called us to a higher life of love. He called twelve disciples, but one of them was scheduled to betray Him (Judas Iscariot). Some of his disciples could still not do certain things because they lacked faith. He taught that the way up is the way down. He also taught that we were not supposed to claim a high status in the world. He talked about righteousness and justice. He healed people of demons. He came as a servant, he did not come to be served. He washed to dirt and excrement from the people's feet. He wasn't a servant alone, he was also an example. He told them that if you see Him, you will have seen God. He glorified His Father often. He talks of eating His flesh and drinking His blood. That is not how it works. He wants us to depend from Him. He wants us to feed off of his light and his guidance, because if you trust in Him, you have everything that you need.
He gave us two commandments. (John 22:37-39 NKJV)
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
John 1:1-2, 14 NKJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Now, Judas Iscariot agreed to betray Jesus for thirty shekels of silver. Even Jesus told Judas Iscariot that he was going to betray Him. He told John that Judas was going to betray Him during the Last Supper. Jesus sent Judas away to carry out his duty. The other disciples had no idea what was going on. One of Jesus' friends cut one of the soldier's ear. Jesus rebuked the person and healed the ear of the soldier. He was arrested. Sometimes, at appropriate times, he answered to questions that only benefited to the kingdom. Even Peter, denied that he was with him. Jesus told Peter that this was going to happen. Peter cried. At the end, they did not care about Judas or the money and then Judas committed suicide. They flogged Him and teased him by giving him a crown of thorns, a scarlet robe, and scepter and they twisted the thorns and punched him then they crucified Him. He died saying, 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?' (Psalms 22:1). They found out later that He was the Son of God. They took Jesus from the cross and buried Him in a tomb. He promise earlier that he will raise this temple in three days. Later, we find that this was his body. They placed a guard in from of His tomb. Then, the guards died and the stone was rolled open and his mother began to meet Him. Yes, he rose in three days! Later on, he promises us with the Holy Spirit. He then going up to heaven. This is your Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the light. If you want him, tell him. He'll be glad to receive you!
