A Short History Of Medicine...

"Doctor I have an ear ache."

2000 B.C.- "Here eat this root."

1000 B.C.- "That root is heathen, say this prayer."

1850 A.D.- "That prayer is superstition, drink this potion."

1940 A.D.- "That potion is snake oil, swallow this pill."

1985 A.D.- "That pill is ineffective, take this antibiotic."

2000 A.D.- "That antibiotic is artificial. Here eat this root!"

Sad but true...

Once upon a time, humans and beasts were one with Nature... Humans used to honor animals, and call upon their powers and Spirits. Their Deities were Horned Ones, humans created drawings on cave walls to praise them...

Once upon a time, humans honored the tiny Cats for protecting their crops from vermin. Their Deities were cat-headed Goddesses, the protectors of homes and the bringers of fertility...

Once upon a time, humans honored Wolves for their courage and strength. Their Deities were Wolf-headed, and their images were carried on banners before victorious Pharaohs...

Once upon a time, humans honored the wisdom in the eyes of the Owl. Their Deities had big eyes and bird feet, in honor of the Great Goddess...

Once upon a time, great heroes had armies of Ravens to assist them in their battles. Their Deities transformed into Ravens, feasting on the eyes of their dead enimies...

Once upon a time, humans honored Dolphins for their free and playful Spirits. Their Deities had chariots led by Dolphins...
But none of them lived happily ever after...

Now Cats and Dogs lie Dead on highways, Killed by careless drivers. Wolves and Stags are hunted down as trophies. Owls and Ravens die from pollution and Dolphins get strangled in fishing nets and suffocate in Dirty Waters...

And humans have no Deities but human ego.

But the need in the blood runs deep, since ancient times when human and beast were one. Now we dream of the Wolf and the Raven, until the time comes to be reunited. Until all our Spirits are joined again in the Divine One with many faces...
