Lapine Glossary
This is a glossary of the language the rabbits speak, called Lapine.
Efrafa - warren founded by General Woundwort.
El-ahrairah - a folk hero.  His name means 'Prince with a thousand Enemies.'
Elil - enemies
Embleer - stinky, or a fox's smell.
Flay - normal food like grass.
Flayrah - good food, like carrots or lettuce.
Frith - The sun, a rabbit god.
Frithrah - an exclaimation
Fu Inle - After moonrise.
Hlessi - a wandering rabbit, living aboveground, without a hole or warren to go to.
Hlessil - plural
Hrair - an uncountable number, larger than 4.
Hrairoo - Little thosand.  Fiver's nam.
Hraka - droppings.
Hrududu - a car or truck.
Hrududil - plural.
Hyzenthlay - Fur shining like dew, name of a doe.
Inle - the moon or moonries, or darkness and fear.
Lendri - badger
Narn - nice or good to eat.
Ni-Frith - noon
Owsla - the ruling rabbits of a warren, very strong.
Rah- prince or cheif rabbit.  a suffix.
Roo - a suffix used to denote something.
Sayn - groundsel
Silf - outside, not underground.
Silflay - to go abovegound to eat.
Tharn - looking foolish, stupefied, or sometimes very fearful.
Thethuninang - Movement of Leaves. A doe's name.
Thlay - fur
Thlayli - Furhead, Bigwig's lapine name.
Threar - a rowan tree or mountain ash.
Threannion - berries from a rowan tree.
Vair- droppings.
Yona- hedgehog.
Yonil - plural
Zorn- destroyed, murdered, or a catastraphy.
