| In 1978, a film version was made of Watership Down. It is a 92 min. long Martin Rosen film, and took many animators and 2 years to make it. (That is why it looks so nice) There are a few differences between the book and the movie. A doe named Violet is shown in the movie, but an owl eats her. Bluebell, Thethuninang, Vilthuril, and Stawberry were not in the movie, and the hutch rabbits did not get away. That is all I can think of. I really suggest you see this movie because it is great. The scene at the end with Hazel and the Black Rabbit is beautiful. There is a song called 'Bright Eyes' that is in it too. The only thing is that there is some violence, so it is rated pg. |
