Well, I have to confess . . . at first I didn't like the Twinkle-eyed ponies. I saw them advertised in the Year 4 brochure (probably the one that came with Baby Heart Throb) and thought "What the HECK is with their eyes?" I immediately reconized those Twinkle-eyes as a clever marketing scheme, and I resented it! Where were the plain ol' My Little Ponies? All I saw in the brochure were these weird Twinkle-eyes and So-Softs! I was very irritated with Hasbro that year. (Guess what I think of the '98 ponies--go on, guess! ^_~)
Anyway, after staring at the ponies in the brochure awhile, I decided that the Twinkle-eyes were pretty cool despite the fact that they were "replacing" the traditional "no-frills, no gimmicks" MLPs. And the Twinkle-eye I wanted the most was . . . Galaxy! I would stare at her picture in the brochure for hours! But when I finally went to a store to buy her, she wasn't there! I couldn't believe it! Well, I stared at all the other Twinkle-eyes for a long time before deciding on Fizzy. (Hey, at least she was in the same pose as Galaxy!)
As her backcard dictated, Fizzy was a rather silly pony, always tripping over things, but she was still a little more level-headed than in the movie. Speaking of the movie, Fizzy came with a small poster advertising the movie! Ironically enough, Galaxy was on the poster and Fizzy was not.
I loved Fizzy's friendly smile--she was one of the happier looking ponies. She got along with nearly everyone in the herd (although she got on Parasol's nerves a lot.) I would occassionally have Fizzy and Bouquet "duel" after I got Bouquet, but I can't remember why . . . just because they were unicorns, I think. There's really not too much more to say . . . Fizzy was an all-around nice pony. ^_^ I kept her in nice condition, too. She had original curl in her hair right up until the Garage Sale of Doom.
