I wanted Baby Lickety-Split for one simple reason: she was in My Little Pony: the Movie. Strangely enough, I don't remember seeing any part of the movie (although I know I did.) Instead, I got my information off of a poster that came with Fizzy. According to it, Baby Lickety-Split was "an adventurous baby pony who longs to be a star!"
Of course when I heard that, I had to get the pony! Because I usually thought of movie stars as being "silly" and "stuck-up" (an opinion which has not totally changed), Baby Lickety-Split ended up with a similar personality. She was a prima donna, always striving to be the leader of the baby ponies. Baby Lickety-Split considered herself an expert on everything and thus the perfect ringleader. Of course, Baby Moondancer (a bossy baby pony) was not about to give up the mantle of leadership--especially not to someone younger than she was--so the two baby ponies often argued (and Baby Moondancer always won). For all that, Baby Lickety-Split was a brave and resourceful baby pony, useful to have along on an adventure. Unfortunately, she was rather unkind to poor, timid Baby Heart Throb, who was a reluctant adventurer at best. Baby Lickety-Split lacked the sarcastic tone of Baby Moondancer and Cuddles, prefering to throw insults in a blunt manner.
Amazingly, the pink hair of Baby Lickety-Split never faded. But alas, she was lost to the Garage Sale of Doom. :( Only accessories remain. That glowworm is one of the cutest baby pony toys ever . . . though I always thought the teething ring was kind of strange.
