As you walk into this extension of the Art Gallery, a blue pony with angelfish as her symbol trots up to greet you. "This is Angel," Moondancer explains. "She's in charge of the Pony Power Award!"
"The Pony Power Award?" you ask. "What's that?"
Moondancer smiles. "There are now many many places on the Internet devoted to My Little Ponies, and we in the Dream have decided to show our appreciation for some of the best! We have created the Pony Power Award!"
"It will be awarded to the best My Little Pony websites we find," Angel adds.
"How do you decide which sites are best?" you ask.
"Well," replies Angel, "the things we most look for on websites are . . . "
1. Originality! The Internet is a crowded place, so I'm looking for websites that stand out!
2. Information! If your website offers some unique information or service, it will be more likely to win the award!
3. Appearance! Sites that have a nice impressive and easily recognizable appearance (including graphics, backgrounds, fonts, etc.) are definately best.
3. Easy Navigation! It should be easy to find all the features on a website!
4. Syntax! It may seem silly, but spelling mistakes really irritate me, and so do punctuation errors! I don't mind one or two errors, but consistent errors drive me crazy! If you think you might have some spelling errors, I would advise you to get a friend (preferably a good speller, of course,) to look over your site! Or copy 'n paste the text of your website into Word or Wordperfect and use their spellchecker.
"This award will be given out approximately whenever I feel like it," Moondancer says. "Instead of accepting applications, I'll just rove around the 'Net once in a while and give out an award."
"Here's what the award looks like," Angel adds.
