once again
to say good-bye
and make amends
with sons and daughters
friends and lovers
our boys and girls
who serve this land
They'll risk their life
for humanity
across the ocean
in the deep blue sea
on the ground and in the air
they fight for life
and liberty
they fight for love
and democracy
Our tears will flow
for casualties
we'll celebrate
their victory
democracy will win again
here at home
and foreign lands
in our hearts
in their souls
our boys and girls
will bring it home
Medals worn with pride
will don their uniforms
wounded in battle
bravery and courage
safe at last
they'll make us proud
for spreading peace
all around
The monster there
will have no chance
against our army
navy, airforce and marines
we'll walk right in
and take him down
his armies will fold
and wave a white flag
he won't stand a prayer
and in the future
and from their children
they will know
and they will say
let's not mess
with the USA!
