The Spencer family is headed by Bill Spencer owner of Spencer Publications.Bill has two daughters Caroline & Karen both being twins.The former being Ridge's ex-wife who died of leukimia and the latter who was brought back to L.A an year later after Caroline's death.Bill's first wife Marlin Spencer is deceased.

Bill & Margo married since Bill promised Margo he would adopt Mark who was Clarke's son.But later Bill changed his mind and so Margo divorced Bill & left town.Margo went back to stay with her family at Wisconsin.

Bill was very possessive about his first daughter Caroline.Caroline loved Ridge Forrester but on their wedding day Caroline was shown a picture of Ridge in bed with a Forrester Model called Alex Simpson.Bill who was aleady against Ridge since he had a playboy image encouraged his daughter to date Thorne.Bill also made Caroline the editor for his magazine "EYE ON FASHION".Caroline got raped by Ron Deacon and Thorne got close to her by helping her through the ordeal.In the near future Caroline married Thorne due to some manipulatios from Brooke & Thorne and but the marriage never worked out since Caroline still had her true love to be Ridge Forrester.Caroline and Ridge did get married but very soon Caroline died of leukimia.

Bill's second daughter Karen was kidnapped at birth.She was found in South America and was brought back to L.A. by Blake Hayes.Everybody at L.A were shocked to see Karen at first.Ridge felt it was Caroline's ghost.Blake forced Karen to see Ridge as he wanted to get back with Taylor.Karen refused to persue Ridge and there came a stage where Blake locked up Karen at his house but Thorne & Bill reached in time to rescue her.Bill accepted Karen and like Caroline asked her to join business.Since Bill at that time owned 50% of the Spectra share he employed Karen in Spectra Fashions as a director.Karen did not receive a warm welcome but soon was accepted as one in the Spectra family.Karen had a small fling with Thorne Forrester but nothing worked.She almost married Connor Davis but the ceremony was cancelled since Karen lied to Connor about being pregnant..

The dissapearing act

After Karen's cancelled wedding with Connor Karen soon left town for Texas back to the place she came from.Bill returned Sally the 50% stock of Spectra fashions and also left town.Thus the Spencer's left town and were never to be seen again.Hope they come back some time!
