We're Back!

What is DeMolay?

DeMolay is the premier youth organization dedicated to teaching young men to be better persons and leaders. Under the "advisorship" of adults; leadership skills, civic awareness, responsibility, and character development are learned through a variety of self directed, real world applications and activities. DeMolay builds confidence; teaches responsibility, cooperation and community service; and fosters trust, respect, fellowship, patriotism, reverence, and sharing.

Tidewater Chapter Meets on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at the Newport News Scottish Rite Temple at 65 Saunders Road in Newport News, Virginia.

August 6, 2000 ... "We're back" from Conclave!  More details can be found on our What have we been up to lately page.

Congratulations to Master Counselor Nick Ruppert and his Suite of Officers for the ensuing term!  On 15 July, 2000, Nick and the rest of his Officers were Installed in an Open Installation.  There were many in attendance, and though we thought more would be there, we definitely had enough food for an army of hungry people.  We wish to thank the Scottish Rite Ladies for the great refreshments,  It was all very delicious :) read more...

Sweetheart's Corner - My Bethel is going to be doing some FUN activities and we want y'all to come!  The Bethel is going to be going to Busch Gardens.....and we want the guys there.  The planned date is Oct. 28.  We would be able to see the Halloween thing that Busch Gardens does!  We are going to have a car wash on September the 16th at Red Barn in Yorktown from 8:30-2:30.

Congratulations to Thomas Lane for being selected Rainbow Beau for Hampton Assembly #2 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.  And Nick Ruppert should be congratulated for being selected the Bethel Beau for Bethel 11 in Chesapeake, Virginia, International Order of Job's Daughters.

Special thanks to Mom Nancy Carpenter for all the things you do for us.  We can always count on your smile and some good snackies when we come out of a meeting.
