Ode to My Mother
When no answer would suffice
You were there with no advice
Just a friendly ear to listen
No questions have you given
I let my tears pour out
You never did shout
By my side I thought you would stay
But then you had been taken away
By some force unknown
With the wind you had blown
Out of my life
You caused me much strife
You still love me, that I know
But for now you must go
To a new life without me near
I will survive, have no fear
I look up at the sky, forever blue
Now you must know, that I will always love you
For you may be gone to some other place
One day we will meet face to face
And then much crying will I do
And now I see, so will you
Until that fateful day
I must say goodbye
Please don't cry
For I know in my heart
We will never be apart
