| It's always once upon a time in New York City Where a boy leaves all he knows and loves To join the eternal fight for freedom and justice He says his last good-byes, and flies a million miles away from home To a land of strangers and stranger customs Here is where he sleeps, but his heart longs for home It's always once upon a time in the streets of Hawaii Where a girl plays the games of love and heartache Who has learned to hurt, before being hurt She flirts, and she says she'll always stay One night of pleasure, for her lifetime of pain This is her game, her territory, but she longs for a true love It’s always once upon a time in the world of love Where a boy so far from home, and a girl unwilling to trust Can meet one day, and fall in love "First we try, then we trust" she hears one day at the movies "Home is where the heart is" the boy knows So the girl finds her love, and the boy finds home |

| I just wanna say one thing, cuz I don't want you to think this is about my husband. This is about a man... more like a boy, whom I thought maybe one day I could love. But he hurt me, typical guy move I suppose. As much as I may want to change the state to my husband's state, I know that in my heart, it just would not be the same and therefore, this poem would have no meaning. |
