I'll Sing You a Song
I’ll sing you a song
Of roses which grow
In the Garden of Eden
Of silver swans that swim
In the Enchanted lakes
If you sing me a song
Of true love
And stars shining down
On a romantic night

I’ll tell you the story
Of King Arthur and his Knights
Who defend Avalon
Of Robin Hood and his Maid Marian
Who live in the forest of Nottingham
If you tell me a story
Of couples who look for each other
All throughout the book
And finally find each other
On the very last page

I’ll let you enter my dreams
Where I dream of days gone by,
Of knights, princes and fair maidens
Where I dream of you
Holding me tight
If you promise to dream of me
With my lips pressed against yours
And you and I watching the sunset
On a mountain high

I’ll point out the shapes
Clouds make as they pass
And whisper their meaning
Into your ear
If you point out the signs of love
Which I have always missed
Or walked right pass
Not knowing they were there

I will open your eyes
To the wonders you have never known
And take you places
You have never been
If you open my heart
To the wonders of love
And make me feel special
Like the so many others
That I envy
