With a half moon above
The street lamp my only light
Here I sit, just watching him sleep
In the passenger seat of my car
Moon dust, upon his brow it rests
Bringing an angelic glow
To a face worn down by life
His arms across his chest
Strong hands clenched tight
The very same hands that hold me
Protecting me from harm
The same strong hands, that caress my soul
And wipe away each tear that falls from my eye
His chest rises and falls
With each breath of life he takes
The beating of his heart, my ears can still hear
For memories run deeper than stone
His legs, strong pillars of steel
That holds us both up
As hand in hand we walk along the road of life
