Hi! I'm glad you've surfed to my island. I hope you'll take the time to explore here and that you find something you'll like. Let me introduce myself. My name is Michelle, but if you like you can call me Shelly or Turtle. I live in Port Orchard, WA. I was born 29 years ago, 15 weeks premature. I was the smallest baby ever to be born at that hospital at the time, weighing one pound, eight ounces. I'm very glad God allowed me to live. As a result of the prematurity, I developed Retinopathy of Prematurity and lost my sight entirely at around two years of age.

I attended public school through junior high and the Washington State School for the Blind for high school. I would like to go in to education or children's ministry.

I became a Christian at the age of twelve. Asking the Lord into my life was the best thing I ever did! If you like to know more about my faith, just ask. I love to talk about it. I love animals! I have a cat named Tammany who I love to spoil. I also have a dog guide named Ellie. I also love horses. I have been taking lessons for about a year and I enjoy it. I don't think there's an animal I don't like. I like music. I'm always singing or humming or listening to something. Check out some of my favorite bands. I'm also constantly reading. I love historical fiction and inspirational romance, especially with a Christian theme. You can go to my favorite authors page to see who I like. I mentioned that I enjoy historical fiction, so it stands to reason that the study of history is one of my favorite hobbies. I spend lots of time watching TV too. My show page will tell you about some of my favorite programs.

Well, I think I've covered the basics. Don't surf away just yet - check out the rest of my island.
