UNDER THE MOON'S GLOW
As we stood there
Hands clasped tightly
Not wanting to let go
We could only stare
Into each other's eyes
Under the moon's glow
Somehow our bodies entwined
As lips moved closer
Into a passionate kiss
Our hearts resigned
To the beginning
Of newfound bliss
The man in the moon smiled
As he looked down upon us
True lovers at last
He stayed there idled
Unable to glance away
As our hearts beat fast
Then he slid gently
Behind a cloud
For he knew what we desired
Now more fervently
Needing to be alone
'Twas all that we required
