ROYAL JOY WILLIAMS (named for his mother's brother, Dr. Royal JOY) was born at 
Ashfield May 1, 1818; came to Linn in 1836; married April 5, 1848, Lucretia S., 
daughter of Samuel WARREN and Abigail WILLIAMS; died August 26, 1886, at 
Williams Bay.
