SILAS SALISBURY was born Mary 15, 1809; came to Spring Prairie in 1837; married 
Olive DAME at Northport, Michigan, in 1843; went to Lima in 1846; to Whitewater 
in 1854; owned the branch mill 1858-1865; died November 24, 1884.  His children 
were: Egbert (married Jean GALBRAITH); Edgar (died aged 13); Winfield Scott 
(married Mary EARLL); Stella (Mrs. Clarence J. PARTRIDGE); Effie (Mrs. 
Mannering DeWOLF); Willard (married Atlanta SCHROM); Jessie (married Fred 
HURLBUT, Jr.).
