Treasures I hold most dear
My Son
Have you ever been so completely broke that you have to decide between paying a bill, buying groceries, or getting your children clothes that fit them? Me too. When things are that tough, it's hard to think of anything other than in terms as to much does it cost.
During this very stressful time of my life, my son (who was only 4 years old at the time) was complaining that he wanted to do something. Thinking that he meant a trip to the skating rink or the movies, I proceeded with the same old answer..."I'm sorry, honey, we just don't have any money." This time, however, his 4 year old mind countered my answer with one of his own. "Hey mom! I got an idea!!! Let's go to the beach...we don't have to spend any money there, just our time!!"
We spent a lot of time at the beach that summer, and we still do. Amazing how children can hold on to a better perspective than adults at times.
My Camera!
I love taking pictures! I got Sean (my son) a poleroid camera for his birthday and every chance we get, we take our cameras and head out for the nature trails and reserves to take pictures! As soon as I get a scanner, I'll be adding some of  our best photos to the site!
