Genre: Sabbat

Place/Time: Once a month, usually last weekend of the month, various locations. Please, if you are coming from out of town, contact the above person to RSVP due to size constraints on location. Directions posted prior to every game.
The world is a dark place... yet as darker things awaken, the End comes more quickly. We might be monsters, but we have a greater cause, and only those zealous enough to turn from the old ways of running and hiding and those who turn to face our great enemies head on will be called. What do you fight for but for your brothers?
Many misconceptions exist about the sabbat venue, and while combat is present, there is much more than that. Expect a game of explorations both of what is happening within and outside of the sect. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems, but the Jyhad will always remain.
Proxy is allowed, but please contact the lead ST at least 5 days ahead of time. This is longer than the usual allowance of 48 hours because of the danger involved in the venue. Before the proxy is allowed, a series of questions will be asked of the player, both general and specific to the proxy, that will need to be answered before the scene will be run. This is a dangerous venue, and I do not want a character killed because the person portraying the character said something that would never have been stated or done by the owner of that character.
Full character sheet will be required at each game, and while the existance of "Strange and Unusual Things" (TM) on a character sheet will not by themselves prevent a character from entering play here, the lead ST has retains the right to monitor and restrict such in the better interest of gameplay.

Two levels exist within the game. The ST driven plotlines, and the player driven plotlines. Simple. Players are assumed to keep what they do within the perspective of the game (IE no chronicle ending events) but are given little to no restrictions on their actions. ST driven plots are designed to test every aspect of being within the sect, and the only thing that is the same about all of these is the fact that the characters don't know everything, and must make difficult choices at times. Also, no plot is static, and the NPCs will adapt to actions from the PCs.
The Guide to the sabbat has very good source material, and will be used in combination with the national Sabbat Venue Style Sheet to answer questions of mechanics in reference to the Ritae with the following notes.
Monomancy: Officially, the rules used in the book will be referenced if the players are making a mistake, but if the characters are changing them, they are assumed to know the potential outcome of such actions.
Vaulderie: These instructions are sometimes unclear, so this is our interpretation of the rules. All of the following are true if the ritesmaster wins the ritae challenge.
1. You cannot fake a Vaulderie offering. This is a supernatural, magical affect, and any attempt to do so will be immediately discovered by the ritesmaster.
2. Diseased blood, poisoned blood, and other such problems in the normal drinking of blood are purified in the ritual. Magical effects will be dealt with on a one for one basis.
3. If you have never had a vaulderie with someone in the circle, you immediately gain a Viniculum Rating of 1 to that person. It does not matter how many times you've gone through a vaulderie, you will gain a rating of 1 the first time with someone else in that vaulderie.
4. When testing for gaining in Viniculum rating, you make one test per person's blood trait you receive. If you lose the test (which can be relented) you gain a level of Viniculum to that character. If you win the test, you may opt to make an additional test to lower your current Viniculum rating. If you win this second test outright, you succeed and your Vin rating goes down by one. On a tie, you compare the number of traits of blood you recieved from that character against your viniculim rating.
