Hello Every body, my name is Christina Ann Whitney and I have a 16 month old little boy that we call our angel, his name is Tehrin Kail Olson and his dads name is, which I’m more in love with every day, T.R. Olson. We are a very happy family and despite our obvious setbacks we keep ourselves busy with lots of fishing and hunting and in the off seasons T.R is a semi professional pool player and we attend a lot of big and small Pool Tournaments. Among all of our projects the one we pride ourselves on the most is our beautiful son. He is smart and bright we see stars in his eyes. He loves music and any music, he dances to the music instead of just dancing, it’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen. He is very comical too he loves to make people laugh. We live in Montana T.R is from here and I pretty much am, for my first 8 years of life I lived in Vallejo California.

When I was about 4 months pregnant I believe I started to develop Pre-eclampsia, with symptoms of SOB and some palpitations. As time went on the palpitations grew stronger and I had less breath. About 6 ½ to 7 months of pregnancy I felt horrible, I tried to be strong and not complain so much but when you haven’t slept more than 2 or 3 hours in the last week a person tends to get cranky. I was very strong the whole time, I was in so much pain that it all became routine. We saw our regular OB/GYN, in which we drove a 300-mile drive round trip to see, 5 times in the last 2 ½ months. My general appearance was that of a very ill person, my skin color was yellow/gray.

I was diagnosed in Oct 2000 in which we presented ourselves to a hospital we had already been too and been mistreated by and preceded to labor and delivery. When the nurses saw us walking down the hall they came running because I looked so ill, they were in disbelief we were as calm as we were. My complicated pregnancy specialist, Gynecologist, was flow by helicopter to come and get me. I was immediately given a fair dosage of morphine, because I was going into labor and this would relax my body, and flow to Benifis Hospital where I had one of the top cardiologists in the nation waiting for me. T.R was driving to the hospital that is 150 miles away when they called him and said they could not wait to take the baby that it was critical and of coarse he said, “What are you waiting for”. He was unaware of the severity of the situation until he arrived. He had been with me through everything, at every appointment and the ER; he was so very supportive Thank God…

Of to the operating room we went, Tehrin was born with apgars of 1 and started to go down hill fast. He was immediately brought up to NICU and treated. MAY GOD BLESS ALL THEM NURSES!! I was stabilized in the CICU and things were a little rocky to my understanding but I woke up about 38 hors later freaked out by the ventilator I was on. T.R stuck by my side the whole time and when he was resting my mother and the rest of my family were very supportive. I try to be optimistic through anything and T.R is a huge part of that he kept everyone cool and positive vibes were definatly going on. My grandma on my mom’s side is very religious and very spiritual she and others prayed hard and strong for Tehrin and I, and T.R of coarse. Tehrin and I finally got to see each other and it was awesome, he started making improvements every day and some days all day long. I also began feeling much better. T.R and I held him and fed him that day, he we also got there just in time to wash him up and change him. He was sooo small; he fit in T.R’s hand. I was out of the hospital in two weeks and Tehrin was out in three.

As of February 22 we have learned that my prognosis is not favorable at this time however I am not too scared of what may happen. I am very aware of the situation, I believe with me being young it may help in the recovery of a transplant and my blood type is 0+ and that is favorable. We have a lot of faith in life, God and our newfound family. I love that I have this group for support it means a lot. I look forward to reading everyone’s bios and getting to know all of you. Thank you for reading mine and I have a nice day. Thanx Christy
