Jesus said…
Behold I stand
at the door and knock; if
anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and eat with him, and he with me.

St. George's Episcopal Church is a friendly, welcoming parish comprised of about 150 people.   We are located on North Broadway in Pennsville, New Jersey.   We invite you to visit with us to hear the word of the Lord and share in the fellowship of Christ.

We have two Sunday services, 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

We use Rite II at both services.  For those unfamiliar with the Episcopal Church, we will be happy to help you through the service!  We have a wonderful Sunday School for grades Kindergarten through High School which meets in the parish hall at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday Mornings.

Our church has many dedicated people; our altar guild is a group of women who serve the Lord by preparing the altar for Sunday services.  Our Outreach Committee collects food and distributes it to the needy.  Our Acolytes help the priest during services, and our Sunday School and children and youth group are always there to help out with special events and projects in the church.   We are blessed to have many people who share their talents with the church.  We are thankful for their dedication to Christ.

St. George's has several events during the year.  We participate in the Community Lenten Services along with several other churches throughout the area.  Our Easter Eve Service, The Great Vigil of Easter, is the most important service of the church year.  Along with St. Ambrose Lutheran Church in Pennsville, we have Bible School, a week long event for children of the area.  Our parish picnic, held in June, is a great way for us to get together, relax, and have some fun.  Our children always enjoy our annual Halloween party, held in the parish hall, and our Christmas bazaar in November is known far and wide for the great array of crafts and food.  We also have a chicken barbecue in May, and a funnelcake booth at the  Septemberfest celebration at Riverview Beach Park in Pennsville.

As you can see, there is a lot going on at St. George's Church.  So if you are visiting our area, or are looking for a place to worship and feel close to God, stop by and visit us.  You are welcome!
