Tools I Use

I usually do my story writing with Microsoft Front Page Express, but I fine-tune them and make up my other pages with Arachnophilia©, a wonderful freeware HTML editor. Another editor I use a lot is NoteTab© (freeware version, of course). This is particularly nice for editing long text files since you can turn the word wrapping on or off. Most fanfic archive sites accept only ".txt" files, and it is very important to limit your lines to 70 characters or so; otherwise your potential readers are going to have to do a lot of horizontal scrolling, and they probably won't bother to read your stories. NoteTab© is ideal for this chore. For more information on the tools I use, see my HTML section.
