Watershed

Coming face to phone with your love
Was a watershed event
It lead to many a romantic evening
deliciously spent

But before love and lust could share
Their light in my life
Trust and belief in you had to carry me
Through my strife

Then only then was I ready to
Open the door
And rediscover the woman I was
And so much more

A prayer

I open my day with a prayer
A whisper to one who's not there
Please stand here beside
And with me abide
Your voice echoes soft in my hair

Your heart holds the key to my day
Your guiding light shows me the way
The love setting free
The soul inside me
and with me you always will stay

When night falls my prayer I will sing
For into my heart you will bring
Those moments of peace
When I find release
Held deep within your angel wings

Dream catcher

You catch my dreams
Fill them with love
Smile on me now
From up above

In the sunlight hours
You're a ray of hope
In the moonlit nights
You help me cope

The guardian of
My one true path
Who helps me smile
And makes me laugh

Who shows me where
My soul should be
Walking with grace
And harmony

And when the night
Has been too long
You shine a light
Until the dawn

So catch my dream
In your heart of love
Walk by my side
from up above

A little of me


A child of the sixties
Nineteen sixty three
Just finding now
The angel in me

Lost in a world
Sometimes so black
Fighting the fog
I made it back

Raising a son
All on my own
Smiling at him
Now almost grown

Finding a soul mate
One kindred heart
And then too soon
He did depart

But with his love
My path is set
Memories sweet
Never forget

Smiling with friends
Laugh with my son
Love is the joy
When day is done

Now with an angel
I share my life
Laughter and loving
Trouble and strife

Share with the heavens
Words I will write
And he shares with me
His guiding light

Smiles from sunlight
Caress my soul
Fill up my heart
And make me whole

Walk with me gently
through life and death
Your thoughts upon
My every breath

Whisper your voice
In the sweetest mist
My blessed life
Forever kissed

gone from my touch
You still caress
my life and bring
such happiness

Do as dawn smiles
Sweet morning dew
Holding your hand
I'll walk with you

Touching souls

Alarms rings and eyes barely open reach for the phone
Calling to remind you that we never are alone
For our souls connected and we walk within our hearts
No matter the trials that will keep us apart

Hear your voice again, feel the sunshine in the dark
Knowing that you felt the same inner spark
Blessing in our day early mornings when we touch
Saying without words "babe I'm loving you so much"

Touch across the miles tender hearts take a chance
Blessed from up above in our own lovers dance
Knowing deep inside that in angel wings I rest
As I hold you close, rest my head upon your chest
