Lake Wishes

Wishing I was with you
Walking at the lake
Holding your sweet hand in mine
Each step that we would take

Wishing I was with you
Sitting on the shore
Resting my head on you chest
For now and ever more

I wish that I was on the dock
And you were standing near
Your voice, your laugh, your very breath
It's what makes you so dear

I feel inside such awesome love
I know you hold my heart
No matter where our souls will walk
We never are apart

Still sometimes I wish for this
That with each breath I take
I could be there and holding you
And live beside the lake

A bear

There is a bear
He's not too tall
Seven inches
That is all

He sits with me
He helps me through
Those moments when
I'm missing you

He was a present
From a friend
When your time
Was at an end

With a plant
He did arrive
To help me each day
To survive

On the days
I miss you most
I find myself
Holding him close

And so today
I hold him dear
Wishing I could
Hold you near

Soul Garden

In the garden of my soul there is no doubt
Your name from the mountains I will shout
And fearless I will face the endless sea
For always you are walking here with me

Scrupulous as I choose my heart's true seed
For it's forest of inner steel I will need
Strict in my mute weeding I may appear
I feel such awesome glory when you are near

Walking always in the garden of my soul
With your hand held in mine my heart is full
Dancing ever in the rain of your sweet love
Here beside me or watching from above

Angel sunrise

Rising in the morning, slowly I awake
Your angel soul is in each breath I take
Spirit is renewed inside the breaking dawn
Watching quietly the sun, I will go on

As I reach out, feeling the morning dew
Reaching in, feeling my soul, fresh and new
Love's understanding washes my soul clean
Walking through life, my angel now unseen

Facing the east I watch the morning sky
Deep in my heart, you give me strength to try
Waiting for you I found my inner sight
Our time, too brief, showed me a world of light

At the computer, words from my fingers flow
Knowing the feel of the fresh morning glow
Beauty and good, nature's sweet harmony
Lives in my heart cause you are here with me

Each day we walk

The angel of my heart it seems
A gentle man that stirred my dreams
Who made me laugh with pure delight
And showed to me a guiding light

Each moment from the very first
I drank you in and quenched my thirst
Sweet ambrosia, my soul's true place
Gentled forever in your embrace

With you I found love's sweetest dance
And strength and joy to take a chance
To share with words that place inside
Where two souls intertwined abide

You found a way to share your heart
No matter how far we're apart
You put your angel hand in mine
Walking close, earthy and divine

On the day that you died and rose
I thought that bond would come to close
Until your muse you sent my way
And now we share in each new day

We share the sun drenched eastern sky
And we share now my eyes that cry
And though my heart may feel the pain
Deep in my soul you will remain

Another friend

I met another friend today
Each time I do I cry
But in your angel wings, I know
Each time I do they'll dry

You give me every day the strength,
Your spirit and your light
And your love is what helps me
To make it through each night

You gave in life so many gifts
Your touch it went so deep
And each new day I walk along
It's comfort I will keep

Your friends remind me of your laugh
And how you made them smile
It hurts and yet it fill my heart
To walk with them a while

They do not have to speak out loud
Of things that you would do
The simple presence of a friend
And my heart walks with you.
