Come to me

Angel, will you come to me
Dry my eyes so I can see
Walk beside me hand in hand
Giving me the strength to stand

Each day the begins anew
Memories and thoughts of you
Wrapped up in your angel love
holding me from up above

Deep in angel arms I sleep
For my heart is yours to keep
And the tears, the gentle mist
heart reminders of your kiss

Late at night

Late at night the angels sing
Deep into my heart they bring
Tears and everlasting love
Both come now from above

Your voice now an angel whisper
Laughter now an angel kiss
Though you always walk beside me
Sweet the memories that I miss

And among the heady flowers
In the mornings early dew
Drink the nectar of the garden
Feeling close the heart of you

Your soul it lives on inside me
Cherishing our entwined hearts
Breath may still but not my angel
Loving spirits never part

So I keep watch late at night
For your shining inner light
Here to guide me on my way
Gentle love with each new day

Before the sun

In the early morning darkness
Waiting for the sun to rise
Sweetest light I can remember
What was shining in your eyes

In each since our soul connected
You have made the mornings bright
And since our hands found each other
You're the stars that shine at night

Knowing that you soul inside me
Gives me steel to make me strong
And your hand tucked within mine
Means that I can walk along

Walk forever in your sunshine
Angel light you shine on me
Guiding light sweet everlasting
With each step my eyes can see

How to walk in angel footsteps
Find the harmony and grace
Peace and rest that I always
Found when held in your embrace

Silvery leaves

Leaves dangling, beside white
Gazing at natures touch
You watching with new eyes
My angel, miss so much

Rain falls through the leaves
Soft and warm it does heal
And as it falls upon me
Angel arms I truly feel

With a breath, angel whispers
Soft breeze stirs angel dew
Full of life, full of living
Yet my thoughts ever on you

Your love guides and holds me
Shows me a healing light
Touching my inner spirit
Deep inside me day and night

On the lakefront

At the waterfront, Texas sunshine
Spider webs between the trees
As we walk out in the yard
Sunlight dappled on our knees

Water down, rambling beside it
We are underneath the dock
Sandy footprints we are leaving
Holding hand, we gently walk

When the water rises again
Boats are tied now to the shore
Feet we dangle in the water
Hearts held close forever more

Woven Words

Words that were casually spoken
Adrift on the currents of time
Woven together with love fingertips
In places of rhythm and rhyme

Sharing my soul with half of your heart
Touching the memories so rare
Weaving together the strands of my life
Your spirit will always be there

Each moment every breath are a lifetime
your laughter, your joy walk with me
A tear gently gathered within loving eyes
The thread of my soul's harmony

Weaving the words that were spoken
Voicing the silent ones too
Linen of life that leadeth me on
filled with reflections of you
