Held Forever

I am low and oh so weary
Feeling sad and oh so teary
Wishing I could be with you
But it's not for me to do

In your net of love you keep
Me above the pain so deep
But I struggle and feel lost
Upon the waves I'm being tossed

Hold me gently in your heart
Though we are so far apart
In your arms gathered with love
That you send from up above

Hug me tight with angel wings
Soothe me with the peace they bring
As when we would often talk
Give to me the strength to walk

Guide my steps in ways of grace
Held so close in your embrace
Help my soul find harmony
Forever in your dance with me

Amber golden

Amber golden turn the leaves
Outside my window pane
In my heart are golden tears
From missing you again

The leaves against the bark of white
Like tears upon my face
And underneath my mind can see
The ghost of our embrace

The autumn chill descending now
May cause my bones to ache
But nothing short of losing you
Could cause my heart to break

Although my world is shattered
My heart is beating whole
For when you left me on this earth
You did not take your soul

Your soul, it was entwined with mine
Tucked deep inside my heart
And though I can not see your face
We never are apart

For each new day that dawns here
Each season passing by
Shows my heart and soul again
We never say good-bye

For who I am and meant to be
Grew stronger with your love
And I rely upon the strength
You send down from above

On this path of grief I walk
Whether in the day or night
I find my way with harmony
By following your light

Morning Sun Touches

Morning sun touches golden leaves
As your love touched my soul
Each moment that you walked with me
I felt my heart so whole

Each morning that began anew
Each breath that I would take
Love and hope caused my heart to grow
And my soul to awake

Your presence, just the thought of you
Gift to my very core
And each day that come to pass
I know I love you more

You are my morning sun
Bright stars at night
And though you've gone away
My guiding light

Your love and your trust in me
Your strong belief
Gives me the steel I need
To live with grief

Walking each day that come
Right by your side
Our souls thus intertwined
Together abide

And where your heart abides
There I must be
For in my heart I carry
Your soul with me

Sun kiss the morning sky
Night kiss the dew
So in your angel arms
My kiss from you

Autumn Gold

Sunlight dapples autumn gold
Brisk winds bring October cold
Yet memories so sweet
Give faith to sorrowed feet
And all the joys of heaven told

Walk sweet with bitter sorrow
My angel of tomorrow
And each days dawn
We walk along
Your guiding light I follow

The steady, burning light
Of choices that are right
You show the way
In each new day
And comfort me at night

Your time on earth too brief
And I in tearful grief
Can find the gold
In autumns cold
And bring my soul relief

Sweet memories are found
Not frozen in the ground
But in the air
For you are there
And angel arms surround

Reflections

Reflections pool
In autumns cool
The summer sun
So nearly done

Gentle repose
And thoughts of those
Sweet winter nights
When things were right

You held my soul
And made me whole
in moonlit hours
Neath angel bowers

Too soon you left
And I bereft
Unsteady stride
Are you beside?

Yes you are here
Walking so near
And outstretched hand
To help me stand

An angel breath
Stronger than death
In autumn mist
Sweet heaven kissed

Sweet Poems

From whence do sweet the poems flow
Into the evening's gentle glow
Or in the early morning light
Or late upon a star drenched night

They flow from love, an angel muse
Heavenly arbor of words to use
Lifting me gently over painful ground
Reminding me ever your arms surround

Strength of my soul, steel of my step
Ever within your soul I'm kept
Knowing my place is by your side
Home with my angel I will abide

Holding you tight I grew butterfly wings
That is the gift that your love brings
Sweet flow the words to remind me of
My angel and everlasting love
