A tear touched

A tear touched my eyes
Your love touched my heart
Your soul always with me
Though we are apart

My angel in heaven
My heart's other half
I know you're with me
When ever I laugh

And when tears do fall
Your loving embrace
Reaches out to me
Across time and space

Comforting, Gentling
Holding me tight
Kissing my forehead
As I lay down at night

Protect and watch
Over all you hold dear
Letting us know
Your presence is near

So you will find
my eyes are tear touched
Knowing my heart
and soul miss so much

As the morning wakes
As the dawn breaks
I am filled with awe
Of the gift you draw

The brilliat hues
A gift from you
A moments grace
In your embrace

Your angel love
From up above
Lighting up the skies
Our entwined sighs

Your shoulder

Your shoulder to lay my head down on
Your fingers brush away my tears
Listening to your comforting voice
Washes away all my fears

Strength from the steel inside your soul
Helps me each day to hold on
Knowing your soul is still with me
Although your body is gone

An angel to guide and watch over
You are such a gift from above
For I know no matter the places I go
Your heart walks with mine full of love

But sometimes I wish for your shoulder
The feel of the breath in your chest
The sound of your voice talking to me
The comfort and peace of true rest

You give me the best you are able
Your heart still with mine makes it whole
And though your shoulder I can not lean on
Your presence it eases my soul

I thought you were special
The first time we spoke
And inside my soul
something different awoke

I felt such a comfort
When you spoke my name
And each time you said it
I felt just the same

When I saw your picture
How handsome and kind
A better companion
I never will find

At last when I met you
my heart filled with awe
An angel on earth
I know that I saw

Each moment we shared
Each word and each breath
reach out now to hold me
Yes, even past death

Your angel arms soothe me
across time and space
For I know you hold me
Inside love's embrace

Hand across my face

I brush my hand across my face
Instead of feeling your embrace
I feel the tears of missing flow
because you felt it time to go

You did not go and stay on earth
Although you knew what life was worth
The bruise you carried in your heart
Drove you finally to the depart

You left this world, you went away
But we will meet again someday
Where the peaceful waters meet
And holding you will feel so sweet

The pain you held upon your brow
Is bathed in love where you are now
And I still hold your hand with love
from here on earth to up above

Brush my face with your angel hand
Lend me steel so I can stand
Guide me through the darkest night
with your special angel light

I ached last night
With missing you
A tear fell down
Sometimes they do

I can not stop
The tears that fall
And to your soul
Each one does call

They call out for
The man who walks
beside me yet
And with me talks

He talks to me
Of every day
And how he watches
children play

And like a child
His smile so wide
Loved ones gathered
deep inside

Held now with his
Angel wings
His love can show us
Many things

For love helps us
to learn and grow
And walk in places
We don't know

And gives us strength
To do our best
Until at last
We find our rest.
