Softly comes the autumn mist
Time it was when first we kissed
Even now I breathless miss
Playing with the hands of fate
Heaven's angel now you wait
Early shines my evening star
Nearer to my soul you are

Reaching out your angel hand
Angel steel to help me stand
Yesterday slips through the sand

Fires burn still in the night
Rolling with an amber light
Angel arms to hold me tight
Never will you lose my heart
Kept we are so far apart
Smoking embers e'er will start

Writing in grief

Words that stumble then will flow
Rhythm, rhyme will come I know
Invade my brain in evening's glow
Try my hand, the challenge there
Inscribe now my words in air
Never was a time so fair
Golden moments still we share

If in grief I can compose
Nectar words better than prose

Give to my heart a chance to stay
River of tears that fill my day
Inspire me to have my say
Eternal words will dry my eyes
Float softly down and still my sighs

Does True Love Ever Fade?

Dark though my eyes may grow with tears
Or my mind fill with numbing fears
Ever my heart and soul abide
Standing forever by your side

Tender the heart may ache for love
Rail at the fate that put you above
Underneath all the love shines through
Eternally I'll walk with you

Lost for a moment, now I'm found
Open the gate, sweet is the sound
Vesper of love, on the wings of a sigh
Endless my whispers to you will fly

Each time I stumble in my day
Voice of my angel guides my way
Each time a sadness closes in
Rivers of love reach me again

Fate never really had a chance
Angel of mine, to stop our dance
Death has no strength against our love
Ever you hold my soul above

As We Walk In Sunlight

Angel of mine, strength of my days
Softly we walk through the autumn ways

Walk close beside, fingers entwine
Ever your heart woven in mine

What brings me joy, brings me delights
Angel, your presence, your guiding light
Love intermingles in every step
Knowing it's soul is ever kept

Inspire hearts and minds, touch more
Nearer to you on a distant shore

Sunrise each morning, a gift of grace
Until I wake in a different place
Nod from my angel, smile of his face
Loving and laughter in his embrace
I see the beauty, hand in hand
Gently we walk in a distant land
Holding so close on a distant shore
Till time and space separate no more

Tender I am
Fragile I walk
Close by your side
Whisper to talk

Facing this morning
Tears fill my eyes
Angel of mine
Breath of my sighs

Each day is different
Each day is new
All of them though
Full of memories of you

So when I'm tender
Hold me with love
Embrace my soul
Now from above

Comfort me with words to write
Show me now your guiding light
Find for me a shining star
For I know that's what you are

Angel now you shine on me
Light my path that I might see
And I know if I look high
Hold your hand, have wings to fly

And your voice blesses my days
Gifts me in so many ways
Finds a smile deep in my heart
Even though we're far apart

In Memories I hold you tight
Dreams of dancing in the night
We will dance upon cloudy mist
Holding close eternal kiss
