Guide my steps

Will you guide my steps with grace
Help my soul to find it's place
Hold me close as our souls dance
Ours because we took a chance

Took the chance to share our love
Though you now have gone above
Side by side eternally
Your soul ever walks with me

I know where my heart belongs
Inside yours to keep it strong
With our fingers intertwined
Neither one will fall behind

Though some days I can not see
Guiding light you saw in me
Your soul is my shining star
Miracle though near or far

As I focus on your face
Memories of your embrace
Strengthens deep my inner core
Till I walk with you once more

Bit of heaven

If you see my bit of heaven
Hold it close in angel arms
I know you are looking after
Little souls so full of charms

Children were your slice of heaven
Angels for you here on earth
And you saw with loving vision
What their souls are truly worth

So each moment up in heaven
Watch the tiny angels play
Know that I am watching with you
Holding tight with each new day

Children's laughter rings so clearly
Angel babies joyfully sing
And with your eyes watching over
Gifts of angel kisses bring.

Words were quiet
In my mind
Until the day
I was left behind

Now I talk
In the poems I write
About how one phone call
Turned day into night

About the love
the guides my way
And sustains me
through each day

I wish I had
No need to write
About the pain
the anguished plight

But write I will
Cause it helps me heal
To share with others
The way I feel

Somedays my prose
Will just confuse
So I rely on
My poetic muse

My muse I know
My angel dear
My special soul
Walking so near

I write to him
Letters with love
And he can hear them
From above

With your love

With your love I walk in sunshine
Even though you've gone away
In your heart I am surrounded
As I rise to face the day

When the tears are sting eyelids
When the sadness wells inside
I reach for your hand in memory
For you always walk beside

Feel your smile , hear your laughter
With your loving eyes I see
All the miracles and blessings
Know you're watching over me

Held within your love and sunshine
As each day greets me anew
Sharing angel gifts and magic
Till again I walk with you

Garden of my heart

In the garden of my heart
As I find a place to rest
As I gather up the strength
To go out and do my best

Watch the birds and butterflies
Finding nectar on their way
And they feed my soul's eyes
Bringing blessings on my day

In my minds eye I can see them
Trailing roses bloom and grow
And the crocus end their slumber
As the spring melts winter snow

Lilac scents pervade the arbor
Lavendar to guide my feet
And the sound of water falling
Where the heavens and earth meet

Each new piece is mine to treasure
Mine to find and build with love
and you join me in the sunshine
Smiling down from up above

Angel ever

Angel ever in my heart
Time and distance will not part

Angel always in my mind
Never left your thoughts behind

Shared with me your inner soul
Held me close and made mine whole

And for hours we would talk
In our minds eye, we would walk

Close together, hand in hand
Together we will always stand

Guiding me now with your steel
Guardian in my heart I feel

If I close my eyes a breath
Feel your presence reach pass death

Hand upon my shoulder, light
Strengthens me through day and night

Angel kisses in my hair
Knowing you are always there

By my soul, at one with me
Love locked in, eternally
