Strong, silent tears

Strong, silent tears
Today I cry
wishing you hadn't
Said goodbye

But you couldn't
stand the pain
Or see the sunshine
Through the rain

You were the light
that shone on me
And I know you
will always be

An angel that will
Guide my way
And watch me each
and every day

Still the tears
Will sometimes flow
Because you hurt
And had to go

Because I ache
From missing you
Your smile, your voice
And loving you

Now I must walk
With angel feet
Until, at last,
Again, we meet

And walk each day
In step once more
That is what
Forever's for

Never do I
Find regret
Remembering
The day we met

Do not want
A single day
to slip and ever
fade away

Because my love
Is in each breath
And love is stronger
Even than death

Your love helps me
To find my place
And walk with you
In eternity's grace

Finding the beauty
In a sun rise
Thinking it's your
Forever eyes

Each day that you
Walked with me
Lives with me now
In memory

Angel Light

I know that your angel light
Shines on me through every night
Guides my footsteps through the day
Gives me strength to find my way

I just wish you could have seen
How much of a gift you've been
To every friend you've ever made
There would be more if you had stayed

They came to say a last good bye
That day all I could do was cry
I was so certain you were gone
And I would have to walk alone

Then I found your presence here
Watching all that you held dear
An angel kiss upon my hair
A muse to help find ways to share

To give me strength and softness too
To do the things I have to do
Walking with peace and harmony
Feeling your angel light with me

Reach through the tears to find a smile
Grace of your laughter a little while
Knowing that it was not sheer chance
Our feet in step throughout life's dance

Morning Light
Kisses me from the night
Standing here
Cause I can feel you near

Angel love
Rains down from you above
Angel grace
Shines down upon my face

Just one heart
We'll never be apart
Holding fast
I'll walk with you at last

Till that day
With you I'll always stay
By your side
Together we will abide

All the strength
All the passion
In your steel
You made me feel

In your eyes
I could see heaven
In your arms
I walked there too

And the pain
That took you from me
Won't erase
The love we grew

Till I walk
With you in heaven
Hold you on
A distant shore

I will hold
Your love inside me
Every day
You give me more

With the sunrise
And the sunset
With the beauty
Each day brings

With the sorrow
with the grief
And with the joy
My poor heart sings

For the joy
Will live inside me
Joy I learned
Inside your heart

Never will there
Be a moment
When our souls
Will be apart

What are the gifts?

What are the gifts we are given?
What are the wonderful things?
People so precious that walk in our lives
Before they receive angel wings

I wish that our time had been longer
To laugh with the love that we shared
Even though you are now gone from the earth
Your presence and soul show you cared

Your own words "our love is locked in"
My words "my place is by your side"
And each day that passes the rest of my life
I know in your heart I'll abide

So what are the gifts we given?
The blessings rained down from above
The miracles given are simple and true
A heart filled with eternal love
