Fingers Entwined

You are my angel whispering
Wherever I may be
You help my eyes to open wide
So I can truly see

I feel you guide me on my path
Each moment of the day
Your beating heart, your shining soul
Forever with me stay

When we first met I found the man
Forever in my heart
And even though you left this earth
We never are apart

So hold my hand from high above
Our fingers are entwined
And I know you will never leave
This heart and soul behind

I know that you are watching me
At times when no-one else can see
Places no-one else can know
Where only you and I can go

Angel Stephen with your smile
You lit my life a little while
Blessed me with your love so deep
Heart and soul are mine to keep

Now you're gone and won't return
This new path is mine to learn
But I rely still on your love
That rains on me from up above

Your soul that is my other half
Helps me now to smile and laugh
To feel the beauty in the dawn
Hold you close although you're gone

Watch over me while we're apart
Unending love lives in my heart
Guide me as I talk with you
Walk with love so strong and true

Father's Day

Father Day is here
But where are you
Wishing I could say
It isn't true

This Fathers' Day
The kids are all alone
In pain and in sadness
You are gone

They can not share the words
Each year you longed to hear
Even though they are growing
That they still held you dear

The light in your eyes
and a voice filled with love
Is always quiet now
As you watch from above

Send to them a little peace
On Father's Day
For I know in your heart
They'll always stay

A heart so filled with love
For those held close
Angel now watching those
That miss you most

Facing the dawn

Today with an ache so strong
Wondering how to get along
My eyes are full of tears unshed
My head is full of thoughts unsaid

My love, I miss your tender voice
Yes, I know you saw no choice
You saw the darkness closing fast
Fears of what might come to pass

I saw the light that shone within
To hear you made my day begin
To feel you with me through the day
Holding my hand along the way

Holding my hand now from above
Sending to me undying love
Angel forever by my side
Heart and soul eternal guide

Walking along life's path with me
Finding the strength and harmony
To face each morning, each new dawn
Your love my reason to go on.

Listening close to the music
Hear forever your loving soul
Cross the chasm that divides us
Our love sustains and keeps me whole

As an angel watching over
As the guardian of my fate
Everlasting love sustains me
I will be content to wait

Souls once joined can not be rended
Death, distance or father time
Do not have the strength to sunder
Two hearts that are intertwined

Though I miss you voice and laughter
Ache to see your face once more
I will know the bliss of heaven
When I reach that distant shore

Still Walking Close

Souls that meet across the miles
Finding joy, finding smiles
That's how it was when first we met
Moments I will not forget

Each day with you was angel kissed
Each moment alone now angel missed
I could not convince you of your light
How moments with you made life so bright

So each day now I grieve for you
And all the things we used to do
Remember your words, remember your touch
Remembering how we loved so much

Loving our friends and families
Sharing our moments of harmony
Gracing each others darkest days
Still need you with me many ways

So I hold to the love we shared
Hold to the memory of how we cared
Just holding your hand in memory
You are still walking close to me
