Beauty

When I look at your face, I see beauty
The beauty of our faith, our inner trust
And even though I struggle
every day with losing you
I know I will go on, I can, I must

Somehow I find your spirit still surrounds me
You rain it down on me from up above
And even while I'm wondering
How I'll ever walk alone
Your hand is locked in mine, we're locked in love

Your faith and trust in me is neverending
Our love that we shared is strong and deep
And even though you left
And I can not call you back
Our memories and time are mine to keep

In the hollow of my heart
The tears are flowing

And made me whole

In the time that we shared
There was so much love
And our trust, true and deep
Strengthened our way
Shine your angel light on me
As you look down from above
Hold my hand and hold my heart
With each new day

Todays' tears came
And were shed
Can't stand to hold them
In my head

If the tears
Stay within
Then the searing
Starts again

Deep and wounding
Bitter pain
It will live
With me again

Tears will bathe
This wound of mine
Cause you left
This world behind

Wash and cleanse
My aching soul
Keep the heart
That loves you whole

Life's Harmony

Wherever you are
I am by your side
With truth and love
I will abide

With light and laughter
With sadness and tears
Walking with you
Through the coming years

I can not fathom
Nor bring reason to bear
My breath comes gently
When you are there

Although I know
You've gone above
Holding my memories
I hold your love

Speak of you often
Honor your life
Though you departed
In grievous strife

Time passes

It's hard for me to see time pass
With you not at my side
And sometimes from the sadness
I have no place to hide

So when I feel thise tears close in
And pain it fills my soul
I think of all the love we shared
It made my life so whole

I know with me you'll always be
Your promise long ago
And death can not step in between
Two souls and hearts that know

We know that love extends beyond
This earthly boundary
And there is nothing that will take
Your love away from me

Finding peace

Will I ever, once again, feel the contentment
That being in your heart has made me feel
I could reach beyond insecurity and doubt
And know because of you my heart was real

My heart had filled with love as a mother
My heart had filled with love as a friend
But never did I know the grace and glory that was mine
When my heart filled with true love that never ends

For mother love is sweet and such a nuture
And friend love is so loyal and so true
But finding all the love that was ever in my heart
Was wrapped up in the way I felt for you

So smile on me from heaven and hold me in your heart
For the love that we have shared can span the miles
And help me grow forgiveness in the garden of my heart
For forgiveness frees the soul and blooms in smiles

Sweet music of your love
Is in my heart

Though we're apart

I can hear the inner music
And I know that you can too

For love's music can be heard
Though the chasm is so wide
There is nothing that will stop it
From reaching the other side

Our souls speak to one another
Intertwined soliloquies
Set to music from our hearts
Gently blowing in the breeze

Today I got swallowed
By 'what if' tears
What if our time
Had grown through years

What if the love
Between us two
Had grown to include
Another few

Can I fathom
Or ever know
Why you picked
That time to go

Sometimes it hurts
When a word is said
That brings the 'what if's
Back into my head

I bite back the tears
But they fill my eyes
Deep in my heart
Are the longing cries

Foggy night

Yesterday it was
A foggy night
Hidden from
Your guiding light

At dawn I felt
Your spirit's sun
Shining the light
You are the one

When I get lost
In the foggy tears
Losing your presence
My biggest fear

Sadness, confusion
I felt all alone
Wondering where
Your light had gone

I will keep walking
I willt not stray
On love's path
I'll find my way

Your love and trust
They ran so deep
They're ever flowing
They're mine to keep

So even when dark
And fog blind me
I know by my side
You'll always be

You wait, my love
On a distant shore
Your pain and hurt
They are no more

My guardian angel

A gift from God
That's what you are

You walk with God

On the stepping stones

Giving me strength,
Guiding my way
Bathed in your love
With each new day

An angel watching

An angel watches over me
I know that it is true
He shines a special light upon
Whatever I must do

Sometimes I may not see the light
If I am looking down
But raise my eyes a little bit
I see it all around

For Stephen was a special light
The blessing of our love
And now he shine the light on me
From his place up above

So, as I walk this path of mine
His hand I'm holding tight
And keeping focused on our love

If the tears begin again
Don't be surprized
It just the truth of mssing you
Showing in my eyes

I know that you have found your peace
And with God you found rest
Each day I know you send me strength
So I can do my best

Sometimes in the early morn
Before the rising sun
The tears will swell and sometimes fall
Because I miss someone

I miss the smiles
You'd always start
On my face
And in my heart

I miss the time
I shared with you
Everything
That we would do

So smile sweetly
Down on me
For in my heart
You'll always be
