Love in my heart
To share, to care
Gathering strength
To bear, to dare

When love is true
It's right, it's real
Deep in your heart
You can't help but feel

Walking with you
I flew so free
Knowing your love
Is always with me

Missing your hand
To hold in mine
Feeling so sad
I'm left behind

Knowing forever
I'll have your love
Even though you
Have gone above

Ache

My eyes ache with tears
As they run down my cheeks
And I still want you back
As I'm counting the weeks

Too long you've been gone
You've been torn from my side
Some say it's your choice
But pain chose suicide

Your soul it remains
Our love lives in my heart
No matter the distance
We're never apart

Walking with God
You are able to rest
And walking with me
You help me do my best

For the song of our souls
With it's trust and it's love
Is heard only from me
Now that you've gone above

Hold me closely my love
In your gentle embrace
Rain your soft spirit kisses
All over my face

Days of Love

The love i feel for you won't fit
On the biggest valentine card
You're not here to share it with
It makes the time so hard

The man that walked so close to me
Who seemed to read my soul
Whose heart that when it joined with mine
It made my world seem whole

And now the hole you left behind
It makes life bittersweet
For each day through my tears I'm glad
That fate caused us to meet

Our hearts they are forever joined
My hand in yours through time
Each moment, every word
A gift to last for my lifetime

Beloved father
Beloved son
Beloved friend
You are the one

I feel the love
That stayed behind
And you are always
On my mind

What would you think
What you would do
How would you greet
Each day anew

For each new day
For us would dawn
With gentle words
That love lives on

And each day's end
Would find us near
And when I listen
I can still hear

Your words, you voice
Your teasing tone
Are in my memory
Now you're gone

Your laughter and
The tears that fell
Forever live in me
As well

Each day your soul
Shines light on me
And in my heart
You'll always be

The gift of love

There is a gift that is called love
It comes to us from up above
And passes through a special soul
Who walks with us and makes us whole

A lover, father, friend or son
A mother, sister, special ones
They give a peice of who they are
And guide us like a shining star

But gentle souls who walk the earth
Sometimes can not see their true worth
They struggle with some inner pain
And wish for rest and peace again

We wish that they had found a way
To reach out to us on that day
Instead of choosing to depart
And tear the life from our own heart

But even though they chose to go
We would want them all to know
While they're watching from above
So many hearts hold them with love

Or give back what we had
Even if I knew the days
To follow would be sad

Our love is such a special thing
Each day it warms my heart
Even though I know that we
Will spend those days apart

Your spirit it will walk with me
And watch me as I sleep
And I can feel you close beside
Your presence I will keep

My eyes still fill up with the tears
Because you went away
Because I want to be with you
And hold you close each day

Morning Tears

This morning the tears flow
I miss you
It doesn't surprise me
That I do

Each morning that goes by
Without your voice
Reminds me each day
Of your final choice

The pain that tore your
World apart
The fear that hid
The love in your heart

But each moment I'm surround
With your love
Even though you have now gone
Up above

And I know that you are
Watching over me
For that is where you
Will always be

We will walk down the path
We are hand in hand
The strength that you share
Means that I can stand

My place is forever
By your side
For our love I know it
Will always abide

Your Kiss

I felt your kiss this morning
While sitting in my chair
A gentle touch that reaches out
And brushes back my hair

I know you are not really here
Your body's dead and gone
But I can feel you anyway
Your love it lingers on

And when I look upon your face
Or think about your smile
It brings me peace and harmony
For just a little while

I found that hope, that inner peace
Each time I was with you
It was the essences of the love
That I still share with you

So with you spirit grant to me
Another gentle kiss
It helps me now to struggle through
All of the things I miss

Dawn and my angel

I watched the dawn this morning
And you were on my mind
An angel watching over me
Your loving soul so kind

As I watched the colors
The sky so filled with hue
I couldn't help the thought that came
I want to share with you

At first I wished you stood beside
Watching the new day start
Then I thought, this is your gift
While we are still apart

For when you were upon this earth
The beauty slipped away
The eyes that you depended on
Were slowly turning gray

Perhaps if you had looked with love
Instead of with your fears
I would not now be living with
These grief and sorrow tears

But when you left this earth behind
And joined God up above
You saw the lasting beauty
Of our eternal love

And so I know I feel you close
The strength to help me stand
Your promises to hold me close
And walking hand in hand.

Tender achy tears
Fill my eyes today

I put your picture on my wall
My eyes are drawn to you
Just like it was before you left

My arms they are so full of ache

You absence truly haunts
