Truth of souls

I gaze upon at your picture
The love comes shining through
I know I've said it many times
My place is always beside you

From the moment that I met you
And the trust began to grow
I could feel the love beginning
Thought that you would never know

Then our hearts they touched each other
Reached past fear, uncertainty
To a place of peace and love
Hand in hand you walk with me

As I gather strngth and courage
And I walk throughout my day
Still I find although you're gone
By my side you'll always stay

Soothe me now with your preesence
Gentle me in love's embrace
Know inside the truth of souls
Love extends through time and space

Journey's end

Today, as I think of you
Look at your face
Strain for your voice
Long for your embrace

I want you to know
Just what you mean to me
How much your love
Gives me the strength to be

Knowing your spirit
Remains with me all my days
Close by your side
It's where I will be always

I never expected
To be blessed with the love we shared
Knowing that always
There was someone who cared

And when you left
Thought that I'd lose your love
But it continued
Coming from up above

So hand in hand
Till all we know is past
At journey's end
I'll walk with you at last

You were the best

An angel on my shoulder
The steel that stands behind
A friend standing beside me
The best man I could find

Somedays I find it hard to cope
Knowing that you're gone
Knowing that the tears I cry
Will just continue on

The thoughts I have are bittersweet
Since you went away
There are so many times I want
To share with you my day

Or listen to you as you talk
Of how your day was spent
Of all the people in it
And how much they meant

Your voice, so sweet and soothing
Would wash away my pain
And give me strength and courage
To face each day again

It's like a gentle rain
That helps the earth to grow
You've helped me be my very best
More than you'll ever know

You couldn't believe that it would work
That I would love you still
And that no matter, through it all
It seems I always will

For love like ours it knows no bounds
And death does not deter
The fact that walking through this world
We'll always walk together

The fear that swallowed up your life
It tore you all apart
It hid from you the inner flame
That lived inside your heart

The glowing candle of your soul
It still is burning bright
It shines your love upon my path
And guides me with it's light

When I look at you

Stephen, when I look at you
I feel my love come shining through

My arms that could reach out and touch
They want to hold you very much

I want to hold your hand in mine
And know that everything is fine

But your body gone from me
And those things now can never be

Your spirit though is with me still
And walk with me it always will

Your heart is inside with my own
Sharing the special love we've known

That love is strong and will go on
Even though you're are now gone

It help me make it through the day
A guiding light that shows the way

I know that with me you will walk
And to you I'll always talk

Though you have gone up above
You still surround me with your love

It sustains me till journeys end
For with your love, such strength you lend

And when this life is in the past
Then I will be with you at last

Wish that I could walk in beauty
Find the harmnony in life again
Wish I didn't have this struggle
With the emptiness and pain

Know I found with you the joy
Death can never take away
Because although you are in heaven
You walk with me every day

It's the thing that keeps me going
On this rocky road of life
Hold my hand and guide my heart
Through the turmoil, pain and strife

Keep me in you gentle embrace
Surround me with all your love
Through the years until at last
I will join you up above

My heart is aching
I miss you so
Still am wishing
You didn't go

Saw the pain
Inside of you
Know I did
All I could do

You were so special
It's unreal
The million ways
You made me feel

You didn't believe
You could not see
How special that
You were to me

And so you left
You went away
And I still cry
Each passing day

Your gentle spirit
Still remains
And helps to guide me
Through my pain

Yes, even though
You've gone above
I still rely
On you, my love

Walking with Stephen
Forever hand in hand
The presence of his love
Is helping me to stand

As I walk through this world each day
I take his love with me
Beside me with his hand in mine
Is where he'll always be

He did not stay upon this earth
His body did depart
He left his soul and heart with me
We'll never be apart

This morning's tears

I woke up with tears this morning
Feel the pain losing you brought
The only ease that I can find is
Holding close to you in thought

Hold me close, my guardian angel
Wipe the tears from off my face
Reach past death to comfort me now
Hold me tight in your embrace

With your spirit all around me
Though your body's gone above
We will face the day together
Me surrounded by your love

Hold a child

I held a little girl tonight
So precious and so dear
And I could almost here you say
That you should have been here

The tears are falling from my eyes
For times that will not come
For you to hold those precious ones
They make your arms their home

Her quiet rthymic breathing
Her soft and gentle sighs
It made the heartache grow anew
Restarting inner cries

So stand behind me as I hold
A child, sweet gift from up above
And put your arms around us
Surround us with your love

Solid Ground

When we built this house of love
It was built on solid ground
It will continue on forever
Though there's turmoil all around

There are so many dark emotions
Crowding in on what we are
But our love shines through the darkness
Like the guiding Northern Star

Death would like to come between us
To sever bonds that will not break
But he has no hold upon us
And our love he can not take

Find the quiet

Can I find the quiet
In the center of my soul
The place that you walked with me
And two halves became one whole

That place I am so certain
That your spirit will remain
And with the love that we have shared
Will wash away this pain

To find it I must take the time
To turn off all the sound
Of the world that rushes nowhere,
And hold your love around

Finding the beauty in each day
Moments of tranquilty
Help me to walk along this path
I know you walk with me

This path is not a smooth one
Rocks and lows ahead, behind
But with you there to guide me
The right way I know I'll find

So as I slow down in my walk
And take an easy pace
I find that I am gazing now

Stephen, although you're gone
I know you presence and soul live on
So walk with me, this difficult day
Hold my hand and guide my way

Help my spirit find it's grace
Lead me to that inner place
Help me find the bliss again
Instead of this wrenching pain

Help me walk in harmony
Peace with what God has for me
Help me fan the inner flame
Though my life is not the same

Once I was called your guiding light
Guide me now out of the night
Once you saw me flying free
Hold me now and fly with me

Lost and Found

Holding the memories, counting the cost
I know just how much I have lost

I lost the comfort in my soul
Your half made my half a whole

I lost the joy of each new day
Smiling as i walk along my way

I lost the peace of loving you
Together we'd start each day anew

I struggle through each days it seems
Living my life without our dreams

Sometimes the tears are falling fast
And I must wonder how long they'll last

They'll last until the very end
When I walk with you my friend

When my hand holds yours again
And your smile will ease my pain

Until then I reach for your heart
Bound with mine, never apart

Your trust , your belief, your faith in our love
Locked in with me, then you went above

Always I walk right by your side
Then and now, you'll be my guide

Who you belived in, how you cared
Opening up, you truly shared

Hold my hand and walk with me
Side by side we'll always be

Love and families

Stephen, though you went away
I'm realizing each new day
That love, the ties that bind, remians
And, with faith, it will sustain

Sometimes I do not understand
Why we were dealt this awful hand
Why you still would choose to go
Knowing that I love you so

You gave to me your very soul
Joined with mine and made it whole
And so I found and so did you
We loved each others loved ones too

So losing you it's hard to find
I may have to leave those loves behind
I'll have to love them from afar
And never know just how they are

Wndering, does my presence pain
Reminding them of you again
Or do they find through passing days
You are with them many ways

In my prayers and on my mind
I hope they know my thoughta are kind
I wish for them some healing peace
and from guilt and pain, release

And if there's something I can do
To help them as they remember you
I just wish they will see I'm here
Remembering you and holding dear
