Emotions Edge

Living on emotions edge
Feels like I am on a ledge
Tears fill my eyes
Should I stiffle the cries

Can I focus hard enough
To ge through when things are tough
Yes, I can and Yes, I will
Even though I miss you still

The inner ache I feel inside
It's so big I can not hide
The empty space you left behind
A void left in my heart and mind

IWhen I reach inside and pray
I know you're wiith me day by day
Find a quiet, gentle place
Reaching out past time and space

Holding love, with heart and soul
Together two halves make one whole
And holding tight we fly so free
I know our love was meany to be

Every moment

Thank you God for every moment
I was given for loving him
Every moment in his presence
Every word spoken by him

Some words haunt me, some console me
Every one a different part
Of the man that I will always
Hold and cherish in my heart

With his words he paints a picture
Draws for me his life and love
And it is what still remains here
Now that he has gone above

Thank you for the blessings given
That our lives destined to meet
Made from chance a special friendship
And a love that was so sweet

I belong right beside you
Always have and always will
And though you have gone to Heaven
I am walking with you still

Silent is the night without you
such a dark and dreary place
Shine the light of love you're holding
Restore to me my inner grace

Calm me with your simple presence
Like each time that we would talk
Hold my hand and hold my heart
Besdie you I will always walk

Let me hear the voice of angels
That I can ever hear yoour song
Know that I will listen closely

Stephen, stand beside me
I need you so today
Help me through the lonely hours
Since you went away

Loniliness crept into today
And tore apart my heart
Walking on this grieving path
Now that we're apart

Reach out to me and hold my hand
Walk with me on these rocks
Bring to me comfort and peace
Just like in our long talks

Help me find grace and harmony
Send the world away
Help me focus on our love
Stay with me each day

The butterfly that you saw
Flying free while you stand
Can only find her wings to fly

With me all the time

Each day we spent together
Was like a fine silk thread
It wove our souls together
No matter that you're dead

In the beginning they were so fine
They could have broken anytime

As the days lengthened, closer we grew
The cloth of our hearts grew closer too

In the tapestry of life
Our threads became entwined
No longer was there a difference
Visible between yours and mine

The joining together of our hearts
Means we will never be apart

Interweave your life with mine
And you are with me all the time

Don't you know you are inside me

Ever since the day we met
Through eeach sunrise and sunset

Walk together, holding fast
Somehow we knew it would last

Trust and love and strong belief
Will not be pushed aside by grief

Even though you've gone away
Walk beside me day by day

Guide me through the dark despair
With the love that's always there

Like a beacon in the night
Shine for me the endless light

Lead me to that special place
Full of harmony and grace

With your precious heart and soul
Lead me to that higher goal

Yes I know your tender heart
Hidden well but torn apart

Found with mine a healing place
With no bounds of time or space

But your body still in pain
Made you choose not to remain

Now that you have found your rest
Give me strength do do my best

Heart to heart we'll always talk
Hand in hand we'll always walk

There was nothing to decide

My angel

The music to which my world is set
Is music of peace and love
A special angel watches me
And guides me from above

Upon the earth he walked with me
We forge a special bond
And it still remains with me
Though he has gone beyond

At times a sadness fills my heart
Because he did not stay
I still am walking by his side
There is no other way

His soul it taught me to dance again
Finding the ways of grace
Learning to listen to my own voice
And take life at my own pace

I listen once more to the music
That gave my heart butterfly wings
For I know if I listen closely
My guardian angel will sing

I reach for you and hold you close
For a moment I find peace
I hold your hand forever
You always are in reach

I can not walk away from
The love that we have found
Although since you left this earth
Sometimes it's shaky ground

My belief and faith in you
They are unwavering
But sometimes when I missing you
My lips are quavering

I wish that you could be here now
Your soul and body one
But I can not reverse the past
And change what you have done

So as your body finds it's rest
Your heart and soul remain
They walk with me and hold me close
When I am feeling pain

So soothe away my trouble mind
And fill my heart with love
My guardian angel, my bestest friend
Walks with me from above

Leaning on your love
To dry all of my tears
Holding on to hope
To calm all of my fears

Reaching out for you
To hold your hand in mine
Talking to your heart
Although I'm left behind

Walking with your soul
Along this rocky road
Knowing that you walk with me
It helps to ease the load

Love endures, it's strength is sure
It's faithfulness steadfast
The comfort in it's warm embrace
Sustains me till the last

Don't ask

Don't ask me to change
The way I grieve
It's the only way I know how
It is the learning
To become
The person that I am now

Sometimes I'll be sad
And wonder why
He had to go away
Sometimes I'll be numb
To the rest of the world
Just to get through my day

Sometimes I'll laugh
Or joke about
The challenges life hands out
Sometimes I'll struggle
With everything
And bring everything in doubt

But mostly I walk
Side by side with my love
And talk to him heart to heart
Deep inside knowing
That in spite of his choice
Our souls will never part

Who grieves?

Who is this man that I so grieve
What made our friendship ours
A man with whom across the miles
I spent my waking hours

At work we were the kind of team
We reigned with synergy
It wasn't just the pair of us
When two teamed us as we

At home the matching of our hearts
Our souls began to blend
And then discovered just how right
It was to love a friend

From the first we walked with trust
We knew with certainty
Whatever else we had to face
The strength was you and me

Now my strength's on shaky ground
For I have cause to cry
The man that I believe in most
Chose this time to die

Whatever reasons for your choice
I know you thought it right
I cry, I weep and miss you so
These lonely days and nights

When I hurt the deepest, love,
I reach inside our heart
With the blended soul we share
We never are apart

From that heart and soul will come
A muse to light the dark
It helps me to quilt and helps me write
it gives the needed spark

That spark will shed light on the path
I find that I now tread
A painful path that I walk on

Who can say

The loneliness now
Feelings so new
Are a part of grieving
I must go through

The ache so deep
A part of me gone
The rest of life
Continues on

Learning to cope
Finding my place
It will take time,
healing and space

Listening to

Comfort me

Sometimes, my love, I think of you
And sadness overwhelms me
The lonliness of losing you
The only thing that I see

Struggling through those times are hard
Hours of dark despair
I know that I can reach the light
Focused on the love we share

Your blessing in my life too short
Your moments were too brief
One thing it will sustain me
It is my true belief

Belief in you, in us, in love
That grows each passing day
It helps me walk along this path
And find my new life's way

I understood when I found love
The changes that it brought
But meeting death so close to me
Much comfort have I sought

The comfort that our love remains
Our soul still walk together
No matter now what comes to pass
We always have each other

So as you walk with God today
Finding peace and rest up above
Hold my hand and heart to heart
Comfort me with your love

Close to me

Stephen now has angel wings
For he has gone above
What sustains me here on earth
Is our unending love

I wake each morn and think of him
With love so deep and clear
I say the words out loud because
I know that he can hear

The words I speak and write to him
Share moments past and now
And I know he hears them all
Although I'm not sure how

I know he watches over me
He guides me on my way
His presence provides me strength
For each and every day

For God has given him the rest
And peace that he has sought
But he is standing close to me
In memory and thought

Undying Love

I wake up and look at your picture
It's sits at the side of my bed
I love you and miss you so much my love
The words are so strong in my head

That they come out unbidden each morning
As I rise and I meet each new day
I don't try to stop them even if I could
They help guide my soul on it's way

For my soul walks with you every day
>From our love I've strength to go on
and finish what I have before me
Even though you have already gone

So whether a grouch or good morning
Was your answer to my morning talk
I knew I was taking you with me
Side by side I knew that we would walk

So I now I will walk with your soul dear
For your body is gone up above
Heart to heart we still walk the path
And share an undying love
