Help With The Fight To Stop Cruelty To Animals!
This picture is not a fake. As much as people would like to ignore what happens to animals, it can't happen any longer. These cats were embalmed when they were still alive. For those of you who don't know what Embalming Fluid is, it is a fluid that coroners put inside of your body after you die and all your "stuff" is taken out so you won't rot all that quickly. The fluid is highly toxic and dangerous. Just imagine what these innocent creatures went through.

Many animals are brutally disfigured and murdered because of human vanity. The "draize test", performed on the rabbit to the right, was deliberately blinded to "test" cosmetics and other formulations.
Over 70 MILLION (70,000,000) animals are cruelly tortured and murdered PER YEAR in U.S. laboratories. And that's only the United States. What about the rest of the world? And, out of that 70 million animals, only 3% are used for medical research. That's only 2.1 million.
Over 10 BILLION animals are slaughtered per year for human consumption. And out of that 10 billion, at least 6 BILLION are "broiler" chickens, which are killed after 9 WEEKS of life. Laying hens are usually kept in a 5 or 6 to a 14 square inch cage.As many as 20% die from the stress and disease of their living conditions.
At least half of the 10 million cows kept for milk in the U.S. live on factory farms in horrible conditions, giving the animals much pain and suffering. Cows of the 1990s live, on the average, for only 4 to 5 years, compared to the 20 and 25 years of cows in earlier eras. To keep the animals at a high level of productivity, dairy farmers keep their cows pregnant through artificial insemination.
Approximately 3.5 MILLION furbearing animals are killed each year by trappers, and though the fur industry's attempts to downplay the role of trapping in fur production, it is estimated that half of its' garments come from trappers. 2.7 million animals are "harvested" on fur farms.
This is only a beginning of what happens to these poor creatures. How would you liked to be treated this way if you were helpless, had no way to defend yourself, and couldn't talk? What would you do? What COULD you do? Knowledge is the key to stopping animal cruelty. Next time you see an abused animal, STOP THE ABUSE! Don't just put this behind you and ignore these animals that need your help.
