magik cat are a psychedelic blues band, formed in 2003, that consist of Kev Ellis (vocals and harmonica), Chris Hopgood (guitars), Gladders (Drums) and a variety of blues bass players. Although the bands in which individual members have played span folk rock through to indy music, it is a love of the blues that is at this bands core. Live, the band play tracks by Muddy waters, Hendrix, the Fabulous Thunderbirds (and more) with a seamless blend of their own compositions. When you attend a magik cat gig, you are entering their own, unique blues world. This band is currently in hiatus, as Chris and Kev concentrate on Acousticat.
