IP Engineering Punch class loco.
This locomotive is also an IP Eningeering product; this time their recently introduced 'Punch' class battery-electric loco.This has been extensively modified internally with extra battery power (set parallel to increase haulage capacity and lengthen time between carges), as well as a investing in a 4-wheel drive chain, again to increase haulage capacity. The whitemetal handrails have been painted copper which goes better with the dark green. It can nowtackle almost any train that needs hauling on the GHLR, and is the present workhorse and mainstay of motive power of the line.
