backgrouds and professions, we the Gigiri Family are dedicated and
devoted to the selfless service to the needy in uplifting the moral and
material standards of the destitute people of our society,
Keeping in mind Lions Clubs International motto:
The Credit of the glorious past 17 years of the club goes to all the
Past Chairmen (Presidents) who have consistently nurtured the strong
foundation and carried out the innumeriacal service activities for the
community at large. All our club members are working enthusiastically
in the true Gigiri spirit in order to serve and committed to
"LIGHT THE PATH TO SERVICE"

fields of Health, Education, Youth Outreach, Drug Awareness,
Environment, Tree Planting, Water Projects, Twining, Physically
Disabled, Youth Exchange etc...

|SIGHT FIRST ACTIVITIES
The Club carries out regular Eye Screening Clinics and Cataract Surgeries.

|PRIMARY HEALTH CARE
Regular monthly Skin / Eye / Dental / ENT Clinics and General Medical Camps
have been carried out over a period of 14 years where thousands of patients
get the benefit of specialized medical care which otherwise would not have
been possible. The Club also carries out regular Diabetes Screening Clinics.
|SOCIAL AND EDUCATION
The Club provides bursaries for underprivileged intelligent students.
In the field of Social Community Welfare, the club provides various
types of services such as Feeding programs, Clothing Activities
Organized trips and X-Mas parties for old people's homes and orphan
children's homes, donation of sewing machines, carpentry tools etc...
carried out at
|ENVIRONMENT/TREE PLANTING/WATER PROJECTS
Regular tree planting is carried out by the club to benefit the
environment and the local community. Numerous water projects by the way
of installation of water reservoir tanks, bore holes and irrigation system
in rural areas where several villages have been benefited.
Great efforts have been made by the club to provide wheel chairs, artificial
limbs, hearing and walking aids. The club also encourages and supports
the physically disabled in the area of sporting activities.
A successful Leo Club Programme is carried out by the club
to educate the youth on the importance of community service.

|YOUTH OUTREACH AND DRUG AWARENESS
The club organizes regular Drug Awareness Programmes by way of
Seminars, Debates, Poster competitions and slide shows.
TWINNING AND YOUTH EXCHANGE
International understanding has been enhanced by Twinning with various
Lions Clubs worldwide. Great importance is given to Youth Exchange
where a number of exchanges have been facilitated by the Club.
