About The Flight Sim Heliport
Welcome
to the new look Flight Sim Heliport, a site dedicated to primarily helicopters,
but also with a large collection of Australian airlines, for use with Microsoft
Flight Simulator.
Sorry about the popup banners, but hey, when they're offering you this much
web space for free, I can live with it!
I will slowly be replacing the older FS5 version with their FS98/2000 upgrades.
I am aware that there are still FS5 users out there, but there are ample sites
on the Net catering for the older version - Sorry....
The older version will require the Microsift aircraft convertors. Info is on
the Files page.
As all of these files are shareware, you may download them to your hearts content!
Also
here, you will find a couple of actual pics of some of the aircraft you can
download.
My
father, Frank Mifsud, was in charge of the Ansett Heliport on the Yarra River
in
Melbourne, Australia, and as I grew up with helicopters from as far back as
I can
remember, I have always been fascinated with them.
This site is dedicated to his memory.
Check out the photo section for some rare pics and info on the Ansett fleet
of helicopters
(when they existed), and some great pics of the Victoria Police helicopters.
If
you have any aircraft you may wish to send me, please do so.
I would like to thank everyone that has emailed me either files, information,
or feedback.
I have had a lot of positive comments, which is very encouraging.
I would like to make special mention of a couple of FS designers who's aircraft
feature heavily
on this site, Bill Lyons and Ian Standfast, who are, without a doubt, two of
the finest designers
of FS helicopters.
This site was created with the encouragement, and creations, of Bill. You will
find a lot of Bill's and
Ian's work here, as I have had the pleasure of beta testing some of their creations
in the past.
Enjoy!
Gordon Mifsud
