General Info
Water
Puffers need large tanks. Brackish water puffers, salinity should be kept between 1.005-1.015. For salt water , salinity should be kept between 1.020-1.023. Avoid rapid temperture changes. Most puffers enjoy tempertures between 72-82 degrees.
Food
General food for puffers include: frozen or freeze dried brine shrimp, frozen or freeze dried blood worms, live ghost shrimp, cliams, mussels, live brine shrimp, krill,  live baby snails (a must for most puffers due to growing teeth.) LIve foods are important because they are more high in nutrients. Over feeding shell fish can be very bad.
Tank Mates
Puffers can be quite agressive depending on species so be careful when chosing tank mates. Pick fish that can hold their own but don't pick fish that are too agressive that will provoke the puffer because if picked on the puffer may put up with it at first, but will most likely kill it or be killed in the process of killing it. Puffers will attack much larger fish and usually win.
Health & Disease
Should check puffer every day for any signs of external diseases: Ick, parasites, bacterial or fungal infections, bite marks, wounds, ragged fins, gill movement, and general activity. Half medication.
