This is Jul speaking now ... Here is my half-sister Joan when she was still at school and living at my Dad's down near Brighton. Joan is my Dad's eldest daughter in his 1st family.  He thinks she was a bit jealous of my Mum because they were both teenagers only a few months apart. So there was his eldest daughter and his partner more or less exactly the same age, which was tricky. By that time my Mum had been Dad's partner for 2 years and she had already lost their 1st baby - in 1974 I think that was. Although I don't think Joan knew about the baby ......  probably just as well.
