|Grandma Redding's Pound Cake
2 cups sugar
a cup shortening
1 1/2 cups flour
Cream shortening and sugar-Add eggs one at a time-Beat each for 2 minutes. Add flour and vanilla. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

|Grandma Taylor's "Divinity Fudge"
3 cups of sugar
1/2 cup light coen syrup
1/2 cup cold water
2 egg whites
1 t. vanilla
Place sugar, syrup and water in a pan over slow, fire. Cook until it forms a soft ball in cold water. Beat egg whites for 2 minutes at high speed until stiff. Continue beating slowly while cooking the rest of the syrup. Add vanilla and beat until candy is thick enough to drop from a spoon. Nuts may be added if dsesired.
|Grandma Taylor's "Chocolate Fudge"
4 1/2 cups sugar
2 T. butter
1 large can evaporated milk (boil about 6 minutes)
In separate bowl combine 12 oz. choc. bits
12 oz. German choc. bar
1 pt. Marshmellow cream
2 cups of nuts
Pour boiling syrup over the ingredients and beat until choc. is melted. Pour in buttered pan. When cooled cut into small pioecess.
|Grandpa Redding's Potatoe's
6 Large potatoes
2 t. garlic salt
Peel potatoes and dice into small pieces
Sprinkle garlic salt and toss-set in fridge for 30 minutes
Get oil hot and place potatoes in iron skillet
Cook for 2 minutes and then add chopped onion.
|Brenda's Waldrof Salad
3 red apples
1/2 cup celery (diced)
1/2 cups grapes
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4 cup mayo
1 1/2 t sugar
1/2 t lemon juice
1/4 cup whipping cream (whipped)
Sprinkle ground nutmeg
Combine first 4 together and set aside. Combine mayo, sugar and lemon juice. Fold in whipped cream and pour over fruit. Stir gently
|Brenda's Cream Cheese Grapes
1 lb. red seedless grapes
1 Package of chopped pecans
1 tub of cream cheese (not block-the spreadable)
Wash and dry grapes
With knife spread cream cheese on each grape
Roll grape in Pecans-Very time consuming....but very good!!
